Got Chicken?

Got chicken? We have them! Our first flock of pasture raised chicken is in our freezers and ready for sale. We will have them at the market on Saturday. (May 16) The selection includes whole chickens, split breast, whole legs, whole wings, backs, and necks.
A recent study funded by the USDA shows meat from chickens raised on pasture contained: 21% less total fat, 30% less saturated fat, 28% fewer calories, 50% more vitamin A, and 100% more omega-3 fatty acids.

In addition ot the items mentioned last week we still have some heirloom tomato plants, Joe’s long cayenne pepper, basil, and cilantro plants.

Just a reminder that our hours at the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market are Wednesday – Friday (9:00 until 3:00) and Saturday (8:00 until 4:00).
